Love, Your Concierge
(Concierge #1)
Synopsis:
Organization – that’s what I do. Control – it’s my middle name.
Hello. I’m Elizabeth – your personal concierge. My job is to play fairy godmother to the rich and famous.
The universal rulebook may say to never mix business with pleasure, but its author never worked for Grant Morgan, my sexy and brooding client. As a top attorney in Manhattan, Grant is used to calling the shots and dominating everything he touches. He also changes girlfriends as often as I pick up his dry cleaning. A part of me still wishes I could let him command my body and take me in ways I’ve never imagined, though.
One moment of weakness is all it takes to change everything forever.
Addicted – I can’t get enough of him. Consumed – He’s all I think and dream about.
The book has officially been thrown out the window. I’m in love and completely terrified. With lines blurred, I find myself lying, cheating and stealing to protect myself from being hurt. But my choices affect more than just me and now I’m not so sure what I’m trying to protect myself from.
Will love be enough to erase all I’ve done? Or have I made the biggest mistake of all?

3.5 Stars
Elizabeth
is hard-core….she goes full steam ahead and takes care of business. She knows
what to do and how to get it done, no matter what her clients throw at her….she
is, after all, a personal concierge. She takes care of the mundane tasks the
too wealthy don’t want to be bothered with, and she gets paid a pretty penny to
do so. She has her rules and she sticks
to them…..and one of them includes NOT dating her clients, no matter how rich
and suave they are.
You wouldn’t
shit where you eat, so why would you fuck where you work?
Makes
sense, right? Well, when Elizabeth takes on the sexy and charismatic Grant
Morgan as a client, she has to remember her own rule….but she is playing with
fire. It’s hard to resist the brooding eyes and sexy demeanor that is Grant. After catching his eye at a club while she
was out with her girlfriends, Elizabeth sees Grant watching her rather intently
while she is dancing with another guy…..so she turns that dancing into a
seductive show for Grant, and he is taking it all in.
He was utterly
fuckable. There was no other way to describe him. Unless you were within a ten
foot radius of the man himself, you would never truly know what that statement
meant. It had to have been created just to describe him.
Elizabeth
knows that she needs to steer clear of Grant, but can’t seem to stop that pull….and
for some reason she can’t keep her foot out of her mouth when she is around him
either! Well, at a most inopportune time, Elizabeth opens her mouth and ends up
running off his date for a fundraiser
and ends up having to fill in as Grant’s date. This started the ball rolling
and invited the attraction to go to the next level. Elizabeth finds out that
Grant is not easily avoidable. Given his suave moves and his alpha, powerful
personality, Elizabeth is questioning her own rules and ability to stay away
from him.
Being in the
position to touch Grant Morgan could very well make a nun question her
celibacy.
Yes, there
were some funny parts and there were some hot and sexy parts….they mingled
quite nicely together too. This was a dual POV book, but we were invited into
Elizabeth’s side of the story first and got deep before we got to see Grant’s
POV surface midway through the book. I like this and have seen this happen more
recently. So, it was not alternating POV per se, but dual POV because, while we
got both sides, it was heavily weighted towards Elizabeth’s POV. I think it was
the perfect way to do it, if you ask me. It really allowed us to fall in love
with Grant from her standpoint before we invited his side in.
Grant is
very “demanding” in the bedroom, and it was very seductive and hot to see
this!! Elizabeth gets to see a new side to her pleasure and thoroughly
appreciates it….over and over, and over again. He takes Elizabeth anywhere he
wants, how he wants and always makes sure she is pleasured….no matter how he
achieves it or how long he does it, she is never let down. And he is every bit
the naughty gentleman while he is doing it too! YUMMY!
With every
brush of his tongue against mine, with every soft caress of my skin, he was
owning me.
We get to
know and love Grant’s sexy, cool confidence, but we also see Elizabeth
constantly pushing him away because she knows that she doesn’t need to get
mixed up with her clients…even though she has already crossed that fine line. Grant
just keeps an even head and continues to push and pursue her until she finally decides
to take the plunge and go for it. If she has her head on straight, she should
be ok, right?
“Don’t you
see? You were made for my pleasure. Why do you keep fighting it?” ~Grant
With that
much confidence, cool and smooth, how she holds it together and is able to
resist him as long as she did is beyond me. He was all sorts of sexiness
wrapped up in a three piece suit. And he knows that he has what she wants. And
he willingly gives it to her….all of it; his heart, his body and his soul. And
he spared no expense either, financially or emotionally.
“You have no
idea how much I care for you, do you? I need you, Elizabeth. You’re a breath of
fresh air in this closed off world I live in filled with vultures looking to
strike at any sign of weakness.” ~Grant
Well, life
takes an evil turn when problems that could have been avoided by just talking
things out, happened. I think this was the ONE thing that I wanted to shake my
head at….the internal debates she had with herself, her self-doubt and her stubbornness
and refusal to just spit it out were hard to deal with. Grant and Elizabeth
have to make it through some really rough times, between a conniving evil
ex-girlfriend and an obnoxious family that doesn’t know when to quit and actually
recognize what true love is. It’s all about appearances and your place in
society, according to his mother. It was sick….it is amazing Grant was as
passionate and loving as he was, but I can now understand the control issues
and the dominating side of him in the bedroom.
I did have
a hard time with some of the way things played out during the book and how
things were written. Grant had a softer side….sometimes it was a bit too soft.
Elizabeth was so headstrong in the very beginning and so very undecided on
certain things by the middle/end of the book. A lot of the things Elizabeth
would describe made me feel like she was more in tune with the price and how
expensive or lavish something was, instead of accepting and being grateful for
what she was just given. Also, the end resolved itself rather quickly, but it
wasn’t entirely impossible. Grant and Elizabeth just weren’t talking to each
other….so neither knew how the other truly felt, they were going through daily
life as if they were feeling their way blindly. Once Grant was clued in on what
he needed to do, the ending took off on a very fantastical, no expense spared,
joyous finale full of love and excitement.
I really
enjoyed Grant and Elizabeth’s chemistry….they were charismatic and HOT, as well
as downright sexy. I did love the way they came together and how they professed
their love to each other. This book was a great fairytale and the epilogue was a beautiful ending to this light and
quick read.
3.5 Charismatic and sexy stars.

Bethany
