Review:

5 Stars

"Don't ever forget to remember how much I love you."

"Don't Forget to Remember Me" is a book that will take you through an emotional roller coaster full of angst, passion, and love.

"There is plenty of time for finding out about the past."

If you read the first book, "The Future of Our Past", then you know this book starts off in a heart-wrenching and stressful scene. I found it extremely hard to be able to put this book down. I really wanted to know if, when, and how, things would get better for Ryan and Julia!  During this book, they get put through the ringer big time!! Their relationship gets tested in even more ways!

"Being near her and not having her... I'm in hell."

I really don't want to say much about what happened to them because other than it would ruin the book for you, it's basically what the story line is about.. but know that there are a lot of angsty scenes here!! Moments where you'll feel like you aren't-reading-fast enough

"You know nothing of our relationship or the feelings between us. She's mine and you'd do well to remember it."

"If Ryan was going to keep his distance, I could show him the meaning of the word."

"You'll never touch her while I have a breath left to prevent it."

"...when I close my eyes, she is all I fucking see."

The things Ryan and Julia went through...??? I'm telling you, what happened to them during this book, makes their "distance" problem from the first book, seem like a piece of cake.  But, I have to say, there were moments where both Julia and Ryan frustrated me.. at times, even pissed me off. Talk about stubborn characters!! Sheesh! But, overall, their relationship is one that will definitely stay with me.

Once again, Kahlen Aymes did a wonderful job with those steamy scenes!!!.. completely beautiful and hot!
The book was very well written and again included both POVs. *yay*
I liked the ending, so I'm curious to see where book three, "A Love Like This" takes us.
I recommend this book! It's truly a stunning love story!!

"...you love me and I'm overwhelmed by how much I love you in return. I sometimes can't believe that a love like this even exists."

"...my best friend. My lover. My life."

A tender and warmhearted novel.."The Future of Our Past" is a beautiful romantic story that will melt your heart.

"If I searched a hundred years, I couldn't find the words to tell you how you make me feel... or how much I love you." - Ryan

Ryan and Julia have been best friends for 4 years.. but they've really been in love since day one. When push comes to shove, also know as the moment Ryan gets accepted to Harvard Medical School and Julia has plans of moving to L.A. .. they are, in a way, forced to accept their feelings... something they've been too scared to do at the risk of losing each other. And, like they feared, things, although better, did not get any easier. Their new relationship gets put to the test. They face several obstacles and difficult situations especially when they reach points in their lives where they have to make certain decisions.

"I've wanted you, to touch you like this since the day we met."

"You are the one person I can't do without, Ryan."

"Missing you is... I can't even talk about it. There are no words for how much it hurts."

"I won't survive losing you now."

Oh, I have to say, Julia is one lucky lady..!!  Ryan, other than having the looks and the brains..  ithe ultimate romantic.. queue the swooning..

"She was so gorgeous, she took my breath away."

"Kissing you is every bit as incredible as I've imagined it would be."

"I'm completely... and utterly in love with you." (...) "Night and day, you're all I think about."

"I've dreamed of your hands on my body, fantasized about making love to you a million times," he whispered against my mouth.

"She was my sun, the absolute center of my universe."

See??? A total sweetheart!!
And those were just a few.. but trust me, there are a lot more moments where you'll go "awe Ryan.." .. at least, I had a lot of those..

But Okay.. even I (total romance junkie) have to admit that through out the book there are a lot of I love you's  a long with other love-dovey phrases in the dialogue, which at times seemed a bit repetitive...  But hey, after 4 YEARS of desperately wanting to say those things and not being able to? They sure have a lot of catching up to do! So this wasn't really a deal breaker for me...

Overall, this was a very well written, beautiful story. As usual, I have to talk about the PLUS of a book having dual point of views! Makes it easier for the reader to connect with both characters and get the whole picture.. not just one side. Something I also loved about this book..?? .. the sex scenes!! They were very hot and detailed, yet very classy. They were honestly very (at the risk of sounding repetitive) beautiful. Props to the author!!

Okay .. okay.. one last thing I HAVE to mention...  that ending!!! Without giving away any spoilers I'll just say it was a "WHAT!!!!!!!???" type of ending.. so you might wanna have book two handy.. just saying :)

I recommend this book!

"You are my heart. The most beautiful and precious thing in my world. Don't forget that."

"And Julia? Don't forget to remember me... okay?"

Eyes Wide Open is a passion-wrought story that shows us what pure love can achieve when tested and what the heart can accomplish despite danger and adversity

Review:
4.5 Stars

"... my eyes have really only been opened since you came into my world."

Holy hotness!!! "Eyes Wide Open" is a sizzling hot book!! hot hot hot. Literally from beginning to end. I totally understand though.. if I were Brynne.. I'd have the toughest time keeping me hands off Ethan too!! He's just so sexy and romantic!!!!! He's definitely in my top list of swoon worthy hotties!!!

“Eyes on me, baby.” He commanded on a harsh breath. “You know I have to have your eyes when I take you”

"Are you real?" He whispered, brushing up my face with the back of his fingers in a cherishing caress. "Because I'll want you forever."

This books starts right off where "All In" ends and let me tell ya'.. Brynne and Ethan's relationship does not get any easier. Right from the get go they face one HUGE surprise and then?? more drama follows! I swear they do NOT have a boring relationship!

“Are you ready?”
I nodded and whispered, “Yes.”
“And nothing changes us.”
“Nothing changes that we love each other.”

Both Brynne and Ethan learn to fully accept each other and comprehend what they mean to each other.  Their intensity and passion will leave you breathless. Even though their relationship gets challenged in a lot of ways, how they manage to 'stick it out', is simply amazing!

“Brynne was my heaven. I’d seek out my heaven endlessly.”

"We're right, my beauty. We're so right together."

Overall, this book was very well written and both the plot and characters develop flawlessly.  In this book we get both POVs which I really enjoyed, we get the 'whole picture'.. something I always say is a PLUS!!! though, keep an eye out.. there are POV changes mid-chapter, which isn't really that confusing but it might throw you off a little bit if you aren't paying attention.

Ohmigosh.. that ending was just beautiful!!! Perfect for Brynne and Ethan!!
This book ends in a WONDERFUL place!!! I am soo looking forward to the 4th book!!
I'll never have enough of Ethan Blackstone!!

"Ethan had given me back my life.”

About The Blackstone Affair #4:

"What’s on the horizon? Well, I’ll tell you. I’m hard at work on a 4th Blackstone Affair book. No title yet, but the book will be more of a stand-alone story and take Ethan and Brynne beyond the happily ever after at the end of Eyes Wide Open.
