Review:
4.5 Stars

"...my best friend. My lover. My life."

A tender and warmhearted novel.."The Future of Our Past" is a beautiful romantic story that will melt your heart.

"If I searched a hundred years, I couldn't find the words to tell you how you make me feel... or how much I love you." - Ryan

Ryan and Julia have been best friends for 4 years.. but they've really been in love since day one. When push comes to shove, also know as the moment Ryan gets accepted to Harvard Medical School and Julia has plans of moving to L.A. .. they are, in a way, forced to accept their feelings... something they've been too scared to do at the risk of losing each other. And, like they feared, things, although better, did not get any easier. Their new relationship gets put to the test. They face several obstacles and difficult situations especially when they reach points in their lives where they have to make certain decisions.

"I've wanted you, to touch you like this since the day we met."

"You are the one person I can't do without, Ryan."

"Missing you is... I can't even talk about it. There are no words for how much it hurts."

"I won't survive losing you now."

Oh, I have to say, Julia is one lucky lady..!!  Ryan, other than having the looks and the brains..  ithe ultimate romantic.. queue the swooning..

"She was so gorgeous, she took my breath away."

"Kissing you is every bit as incredible as I've imagined it would be."

"I'm completely... and utterly in love with you." (...) "Night and day, you're all I think about."

"I've dreamed of your hands on my body, fantasized about making love to you a million times," he whispered against my mouth.

"She was my sun, the absolute center of my universe."

See??? A total sweetheart!!
And those were just a few.. but trust me, there are a lot more moments where you'll go "awe Ryan.." .. at least, I had a lot of those..

But Okay.. even I (total romance junkie) have to admit that through out the book there are a lot of I love you's  a long with other love-dovey phrases in the dialogue, which at times seemed a bit repetitive...  But hey, after 4 YEARS of desperately wanting to say those things and not being able to? They sure have a lot of catching up to do! So this wasn't really a deal breaker for me...

Overall, this was a very well written, beautiful story. As usual, I have to talk about the PLUS of a book having dual point of views! Makes it easier for the reader to connect with both characters and get the whole picture.. not just one side. Something I also loved about this book..?? .. the sex scenes!! They were very hot and detailed, yet very classy. They were honestly very (at the risk of sounding repetitive) beautiful. Props to the author!!

Okay .. okay.. one last thing I HAVE to mention...  that ending!!! Without giving away any spoilers I'll just say it was a "WHAT!!!!!!!???" type of ending.. so you might wanna have book two handy.. just saying :)

I recommend this book!

"You are my heart. The most beautiful and precious thing in my world. Don't forget that."

"And Julia? Don't forget to remember me... okay?"
