Blog Tour Stop + Giveaway: "Let Me Love" by Michelle Lynn

Let Me Love
(Invisibles #3)
Synopsis:
A chance encounter. An undeniable connection. An unimaginable twist of fate.

Kailey’s life is crumbling. Her best friend and sister, Jen, is dying, leaving her young family devastated. With little hope of saving her, Kailey is forced to face a reality she never expected.

Trey’s life is fun and carefree. He loves the girls, his drums, and his friends. That’s not to say he isn’t continuously plagued by a difficult decision made years ago—one that changed the course of his life.

Despite the connection they make when their paths unexpectedly cross, Kailey knows her life has no room for anyone else right now. But regardless of how many times she pushes him away, Trey only fights harder to make a place for him in her life and in her heart.

Trey thought he knew heartbreak, but he had no idea until life gave him a second chance, only to snatch it away just as fast. This time he’s determined to keep his place in the life of the ones he loves.

Is there such a thing as fate? If so, can Kailey and Trey hold on to one another long enough to discover there’s no such thing as a chance encounter?

Review:
5 very bright stars!!

Oh. My. God. WHAT A BOOK!!!!!!!!!! FIVE BRILLIANT STARS!!!!!!!!!! This is by far my favorite installment in The Invisibles Series!! Holy awesomeness, Batman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, Michelle Lynn’s books get better and better. I firmly believe they will never be anything less than 5 very shiny stars!!! Wow!! LOVED. THIS. BOOK.

I will not go into any of the details regarding this story line. It is a book you have to experience for yourself to fully grasp how phenomenal it is. It is emotional, beautiful, romantic, and full of life lessons. And as always, I HIGHLY recommend you read the first two books before starting this one.

“All I want to do is love you.”

That Prologue hooked me. Cue the first heart break. I found myself reading with tears in my eyes...right off the bat. Suffice it to say there were a few moments throughout the book that caused me more tearsuntil I flat out cried. I cried for what seemed like chapters and chapters. Sigh. I was not expecting that at all.

“I’ve been waiting for you my whole life.”

We had already met Trey in the previous installments in this series, so I was super curious to know his story. Since Let Me In, The Invisibles book two, I knew Trey was super close with Jessa and very protective of her, but we didn’t really get to know him. Until now. And let me tell you, what a guy!!! Trey is perfect!! Goodness, that man did things to me! I loved Brady and Grant, but holy cow! Trey wins!!! He had tattoos and piercing and if that didn’t already have my panties flying across the room, his personality did the trick. He was trust worthy, loyal, funny, romantic…. And downright HOT, okay? He was HOT in every way possible.

Trey didn’t do relationships…at all. He wasn’t particularly interested in re-living a horrid experience he’d suffered through already. That one was more than enough for him. I was bit floored when he confessed just what exactly had been his situation. I felt so bad for him…I felt his pain. His confession only confirmed even more just what a strong and selfless guy he really was. I love that man!!!

“I don’t need much, but for some reason, I need you.”

Kailey….where to even begin. *Sniff* To say life was unfair to her would be probably the biggest understatement ever. We briefly got introduced to her character in book two, so if you read that book, you know she was hiding something. She was pushing Trey away to keep him from getting too close… Well, obviously in this book we get a full explanation. My heart ached and broke….a lot. Out of all the things I thought she could be hiding, that was definitely not it. How sad!!! At such a young age (early twenties) having to deal with the stress of a dying sister who would be leaving behind THREE small kids???? Plus attending college?? Whoa. Seriously, the things Kailey went through brought me to tears more times than I care to admit. It was so heart breaking. Sigh.

Kailey was strong. Stubborn, but strong. She did what she needed to do and carried on. She had a bit of a ‘running’ issue, but I got that. I didn’t necessarily agree with her every time, but I got why she did what she did. It only showed me how much she really loved Trey. And the fact that Trey only kept on fighting for her, for them, melted my heart. He was persistent and truly, madly in love with Kailey, so he wasn’t going to lose her without a fight. Things were NOT easy for them. They faced things that regular college kids should never experience.

“She is all I think about when I’m not with her. I count down the minutes until I see her again. She’s everything to me.”

FATE. Boy oh boy, did fate play a HUGE role in this book! I gasped A LOT. Like seriously, gasped with shock. Michelle Lynn managed to surprise me time and time again. Amazing!!! Fantastic!! I really cannot say one negative thing about this book. I laughed, I swooned, I cried…. I fell in love. Let Me Love was truly a beautifully written, heart-felt and profound book I highly recommend you read!! I cannot wait for Dex’s book!!!

“I finally found where I belong.”

EXCERPT:

I curl my knees up to my chest, shivering, my face glued to the couch. I peel my mouth away from the leather, wiping the drool as I sit up. Shit, it’s cold in this state. Staring at the practically empty bottle of Jack sitting on the coffee table, regret hits me. I’ll be useless for the rest of today. That is, until I can drown myself into another bottle tonight.

After I stand up, I attempt to steady myself by holding my arms out, like a toddler on a balance beam, willing the room stop swirling. “He’s down here,” Dex screams up the stairs.

“Shit, quiet the fuck down,” I tell him, and he laughs boisterously. Jackass!

“What the hell, man? We’ve been searching all over for you,” he says, plopping himself on the couch.

“Well, you found me,” I say, sitting back down, grateful for the excuse not to move for the time being.

“You got to get it together. We’re going to that party at Sam’s tonight. Screw Kailey, there’ll be plenty of girls begging to have your dick tonight.” Dex’s attempt to pull me from this funk, only reminds me of who Kailey thinks I am.

“Shut the hell up, Hulk.” Brady smacks Dex across the back of his head. He tosses me a bottle of water and sits on the other side of me.

“Just because you and Grant have gone all in, doesn’t mean the rest of us want one pussy for the rest of our lives,” Dex adds with humor in his voice.

“Grow up,” Brady says and picks up the nearly empty bottle in front of him. “If this,” he waves it in the air, “and fucking a different pussy every chance you get is being single, then I’m more than happy where my dick lands every night,” he finishes, setting the bottle back down.

“Save us the whole commitment is the best speech,” Dex banters back.

Brady stares Dex down in annoyance while all the back and forth makes my headache a little more intense.

“If she has you doing this, she must be worth it.” Brady cocks an eyebrow at me, and I stare back at him, already recognizing he’s right, but no way in hell am I going to admit it to him.

“Shit,” I mumble, and Brady drones his fatherly know it all ‘uh huh’ under his breath. Cocky bastard.  Standing up, I take the steps two at a time. Right before I reach the top, I hear Brady and Dex talking.

“You give shitty advice,” Brady tells Dex.

“Fuck off, Mrs. Sadie Miller,” Dex says in return. “He’s gonna become pussy whipped, just like your ass.”

“And believe me, he’ll be happier,” Brady adds. As I reach the main floor, I pray Brady’s right.
