Synopsis:
Erin Benson felt like she'd won the lottery when she arrived all the way from North Dakota with the keys to her first home in hand.
Crisp white walls: Check.
Breathtaking view of downtown Boston: Check.
Minutes from Northeastern School of Law: Check.
But home is not always where the heart is. Sometimes it’s where you find Mr. Random shacked up and sprawled out on what was supposed to be your new bed.
Between the bear spray and the handcuffs, she discovers a terrible mistake has been made.
Lochlan hasn't broken into her new home to sleep with a seedy barmaid...he owns half.
With emotions running on high, Erin is determined to tough it out until a solution can be found.
The tight quarters seem smaller with his accumulated clutter and bizarre sleeping schedule. It also doesn't help that he's the new lead singer for Thin Ice, an indie band on its rise to fame.
What happens when a quiet bookworm gets stuck with a relentless rocker?
What happens when the things you see are not the things you get?

(Which I found to be really funny so I just had to share this with y'all!!)
This is my first romance novel... It's not my thing. I won't lie. I hope you like it. There is no weirdness or strange sex. No cliffhanger and no sequel. NO companion novel... Do not even ask!!! Just a happily ever after.
Ohhhh and no love triangle. That's right b@#$5^s... I did it.
This book was a challenge for me. I like all those other things in my books. This was harder. My female lead is weaker than any I have ever written. She is insecure and shallow, you're meant to not like her. The whole thing was written for me by me to make me happy.
But I still really hope you like it!! I have a lady parts crush on Lochlan myself... wow. Yummy. I am actually going to be booking some concert time in the next few months because I need to see some sexy men perform for me after this book. Yes, yes I do.
If you didn't like it don't worry, my normal books of weird sex and strange bouts of darkness will be back in a few weeks!!!
Thanks for giving it a chance!!

4 Stars
"My Side" by Tara Brown I have to say was a pleasant surprise. For a book the Author wrote for herself out of her box of comfort, I have to say "Job well done."
Erin was something else, a girl from North Dakota arriving in Boston to start Law school. With keys in hand she walks into her new Apartment and gets a nice surprise! She is faced with a strange man in her home and let just say it's a very interesting meeting. (Bear Spray) LOL
They both soon learn that they have both signed the same lease so they agree to live together until one or the other finds a new place.
Erin starts out as seeming strong and career oriented and the thoughts that go on in her head will make you laugh... in the beginning .. however as the story goes on we see that that strong will isn't really the case when the sexy Lochlan is around.
Erin was written to be loved and hated and loved again, and I did find myself feeling that way.
Oh Lochlan, what can i say about the sexy, hot singer of Thin Ice? He was the loving boyfriend, angry jealous, always apologizing and sassy as hell...
"My name is Lochlan Barlow, I'm from Tennessee. I'm a Scorpio and don't really like long walks on the beach or romantic movies or anything like that. I like to shoot pool, hang with me friends and drink beer."
He also put his family first. You can't help but to fall for him.
The relationship Erin and Loch have is such a roller coaster it had me one min. laughing and swooning then the next frustrated and wanting to slap somebody! Kinda made me wish i could get inside Erin's head and yell some sense into it.
The secondary characters where great! I loved Gerry and Deen and Erin's brother Danny along with the others. they really did add to the story instead of take away from the main characters which i loved.
All in all I feel this was a good read! It has the emotional roller coaster, the funny, the aggravating, the over protective guy, and the HEA. whats not to love?
there where some editing errors but not to bad where it ruined the flow of the story.. They where easy to overlook.
So with that said I would rate this a 4. I would rate a .5 but I took .5 off for editing and .5 off for Erin at times. But overall great read.
I would recommend this book... yes I would!

"I am not going to talk in the third person. It feels weird.
I am a Canadian author of Paranormal Romance, Post Apocalyptic and Fantasy novels. Mostly because I think I have Writers ADD, I like to call it WADD. It might be a real thing.
I write New Adult, my books have sexual content (Heck yes) and Swearing. You have been warned. Now enjoy!
I have a beagle named Buster, a husband who I force to read everything I write and two girls who want so badly to be a character in my books. And not in that order.
I am mid thirties so be prepared for the chick lit novel this year. I am calling it my Ode to my Midlife Crisis.
I have been writing since I was old enough to lie. So for some time.
Welcome to my world. Please enjoy the ride."
