Book Review: Losing It by Cora Carmack

Losing It (Losing It, #1)

(Losing It Series, Book 1)
Synopsis:

Virginity.
Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theater professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier

Review:
5  Stars

“Heaven help me but I wanted my professor to be my boyfriend.”

I had this book in my Kindle library for a while and shame on me for not reading it sooner!!!! I absolutely fell in love with it!!!
Loved the plot, the characters, the way it was written, everything!!
The story is written from Bliss' point of view and she has got to be the funniest girl ever!!! I can't stress this enough!! The things that cross her mind.. her inner dialogue!!.. the way she reacts.. and finally, the situations she gets herself into??? literally made me laugh out loud!! loved her. on top of that, I found her to be very relate-able, which is a major plus.

“An accent. HE HAS A BRITISH ACCENT. Dear God, I’m dying.”

“Sex. I was going to have sex. With a boy. With a hot boy. With a hot BRITISH boy. Or maybe I was going to throw up. What if I threw up on the hot British boy? What if I threw up on the hot British boy DURING SEX?”

“SERIOUSLY? Is it because of Jesus? Are you, like, saving yourself for him?” Sex seemed simpler for Kelsey. She had the body of a Barbie and the sexually-charged brain of a teenage boy. “No, Kelsey,” I said. “It would be a little difficult to save myself for someone who died over two thousand years ago.”

“Four. That’s the number of people who saw me hiding around the corner from my own apartment in just a skirt and a bra. Eleven. That’s the number of ant bites I got on my shoe less feet. Twenty-seven. That’s the number of times I was tempted to do myself physical harm because I am an IDIOT. One.That’s the number of times I tried not to cry, but failed.”

Omg!! So funny!! Just going over these quotes, made me laugh. But ok.. now about the hot man in this book.. Garrick Taylor...!!
Totally yummy!!! plus, he is British!! Just imagining him say:

“What’s your name, love?”

Well just with that, I died! I mean, He's hot and has an accent??!!!! *melt*

“Sex rolled off the man in waves, and I was surprised to find out how interested I was in learning how to swim.”

I totally understand and agree!!
and the way he's with Bliss is completely swoon worthy!! love it love it love it!!!!

"I don’t want anyone else to kiss you……I know I’m not being fair. I’m being a right bastard, actually. I keep telling myself to leave you alone, but the truth is…I’m not sure I can."

okaaaay.. so anyways..
what I loved even more (if it's at all possible) was the fact that there was a relatively long epilogue.. and it was from Garrick's POV!!!!! It was pure heaven! ... wont say anything else about it.. just.. *squeeeeeeee*!!! loved it!!!

I strongly recommend this book!

"Sometimes it's the scary things in life that are the most worthwhile."

(Losing It, Book 2)

Synopsis:

Mackenzie “Max” Miller has a problem. Her parents have arrived in town for a surprise visit, and if they see her dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings, they just might disown her. Even worse, they’re expecting to meet a nice, wholesome boyfriend, not a guy named Mace who has a neck tattoo and plays in a band. All her lies are about to come crashing down around her, but then she meets Cade.

Cade moved to Philadelphia to act and to leave his problems behind in Texas. So far though, he’s kept the problems and had very little opportunity to take the stage. When Max approaches him in a coffee shop with a crazy request to pretend to be her boyfriend, he agrees to play the part. But when Cade plays the role a little too well, they’re forced to keep the ruse going. And the more they fake the relationship, the more real it begins to feel

No amount of drinking or dancing can chase away Kelsey's loneliness, but maybe Jackson Hunt can. After a few chance meetings, he convinces her to take a journey of adventure instead of alcohol.
