FRAYED
Author: Kim Karr
Series: Connections, Book 4
~ SYNOPSIS ~
He didn’t think, he didn’t question—he just acted.
What she wanted, she took—without regard.
It was only one night, but it changed everything.

After losing his fiancée, Ben Covington is unsure he’ll ever love again. But he’s so deeply drawn to Bell Wilde that he’s thrown for a loop. Maybe it’s purely sexual chemistry that’s igniting their spark… or maybe it’s his second chance at love.

Bell Wilde has just gotten her life back on track and may not be up the challenge of Ben Covington coming back into it. However, once the spark is reignited…there’s no stopping it. But even if they both manage to pull together their frayed hearts, a secret from Bell’s past just might shatter them both.

5 Stars!

Fantastic! A definite must read! I’m 100% #TeamBen and I could not be happier with this book. It had the perfect amount and combination of emotional angst, drama, and passion. Kim Karr did a marvelous job with Ben and Bell's story and it's a well-deserved #HEA for these two. Throughout the Connections Series we got glimpses of Ben and Bell’s story, but never the whole thing. Then, specifically in Blurred, we got to understand Ben A LOT and see where and how his journey with Bell truly began.

She’s S’belle Wilde. We shared only one unbelievable night together, but it’s seared in my mind forever.

Even years after that ONE NIGHT, Ben and Bell still felt an undeniable attraction that still, to this day, sizzled between them. But too much had already happened. Too many strings where attached to the concept of Ben and Bell as a couple. Too many complications….some of which started, but definitely did NOT end with Dahlia and River. There was just too much at stake. Both Ben and Bell had gone through SO much. They both had scars that dictated how they acted. They BOTH had their guards up for many valid reasons, and yet, neither of them could erase their passionate night from their memories. Neither of them, and not for lack of trying, could let go of each other.

He kissed me with a need like no one had ever shown me before and I knew then that what we were doing couldn’t be wrong. What I didn’t know was that one kiss would change the rest of my life.

Bell was made for Ben just as he was made for her. They completed each other – as simple as that. They were both going through life trying to figure out what their purpose was, but what they didn’t realize was that their paths had already found each other….and for a reason. They were meant to be. Seeing them work through their wounds together was amazing. I was right there with them. My heart ached and broke for them. I felt huge amounts of compassion for them and their situation. There was one part specifically that just about floored me and shattered my heart. It was written SO beautifully that it made me connect with Bell and Ben 500%.

I want to help her heal the wounds she hasn’t allowed to close. My arms tighten around her and I whisper, “It’s time to let go, S’belle. It’s time to let go.”

If you love books about second chances – about character redemption – do yourself a favor and buy Frayed. Both Ben and Bell not only got a second chance at being a couple, but also a second chance at a happy life. They had both suffered so much heartache in the past that I felt like they deserved a break. They definitely earned their happiness together. This is a hot and emotional FIVE-STAR read that I highly recommend. I LOVE THIS SERIES!

~ ABOUT THE AUTHOR ~
Kim Karr

I live in Florida with my husband and four kids. I’ve always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, I wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. I went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise my family. I currently work part-time with my husband and full-time embracing one of my biggest passions—writing.

I wear a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all around go-to person of the family. However, I always find time to read. One of my favorite family outings use to be taking my kids to the bookstore or the library. Today, my oldest child is in college and my twins are juniors so they no longer go with me on these outings. And although I don’t need to go to the actual store anymore because I have the greatest device ever invented—a Kindle, I still do. There’s nothing like a paperback. So now my four year old and I make dates out of going to the bookstore–it’s time I love and cherish.

I like to believe in soulmates, kindred spirits, true friends, and Happily-Ever-Afters. I love to drink champagne, listen to music, and hopes to always stay young at heart. <3
