Falling Into You
(Book 1, Falling)
I wasn't always in love with Colton Calloway; I was in love with his younger brother, Kyle, first. Kyle was my first one true love, my first in every way.
Then, one stormy August night, he died, and the person I was died with him.
Colton didn't teach me how to live. He didn't heal the pain. He didn't make it okay. He taught me how to hurt, how to not be okay, and, eventually, how to let go.
Reading the synopsis of this book, I knew it had a sad beginning. But damn.. I never expected it to make me cry my eyes out.!! I was full on sobbing!!
I've always thought that good authors can make a reader feel sad and maybe get teary eyed, but a truly great author will make you really feel the sadness, will really make tears roll down your face. Let me tell you, Jasinda Wilder accomplished that with excellence. I mean wow!!
I felt Nell's pain.. Her grief.. Her guilt.. My heart literally broke for her.. broke for Kyle. *sigh*. Kyle.
“I wanted nothing more than to climb into the box with him and quit breathing, find him in whatever came after life.”
“It wasn't a tear. I wouldn't cry. Couldn't To let it go would be to open my soul. It would never stop. I would break…just shatter. The liquid on my cheek was blood, surging out from my ripped and tattered heart.”
Thank God and all that's Holy, things turned around...well sort of.. My heart and swollen eyes for that matter, could not take more of this straight-forward UGLY-face crying.
Enter Colton, Kyle's older brother. He's just as broken as Nell is. In every single way if not more. But he doesn't give up on wanting to help her heal. Help each other heal.
“I hold her. I don’t tell her it’s okay.
“Be mad,” I say. “Be hurt. Be broken. Cry.”
“Be mad,” I say. “Be hurt. Be broken. Cry.”
“We’re both haunted by the specters of our pasts, but we have to move on sometime and force the voice of our guilt to be silent.”
"But we have to learn to be be free. We have to, Nell. Doesn't mean happy all the time, or okay all the time. It's okay not to be okay. I told you that, but I'm relearning it myself. But not being okay doesn't mean you stop living."
Their interactions, their conversations .. everything, really made this a dark and beyond emotional read. And those sex scenes?? JESUS!! I had to stop and fan myself!
"Now spread your legs and feel free to scream. No one can hear."
Aaaaanyway... As I was saying..
This book is written in both points of view, Nell's and Colton's. What a clever move! This way, you don't have another option but to connect with both characters and understand their pain. Like, really understand it. Feel it.
"I'm not just falling in love with you, Nell. I'm falling into you. You're an ocean, and I'm falling in, drowning in the depths of who you are"
Falling Into You definitely made its way to my top favorite!!
I literally bookmarked almost the entire book!!! It's that incredible!
I truly highly recommend "Falling Into You"!!
You'll thank me later.. *wink*

(Book 2, Falling)
Synopsis:THE STORY YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW...
When Kyle Calloway died, he took a part of Nell with him. She wasn’t the only one left to pick up the pieces, however; Kyle’s death left a gaping hole in the hearts and lives of his parents and his older brother Colton, and ultimately broke the will of the girl he loved.
THE STORY YOU NEVER IMAGINED...
Becca de Rosa is Nell’s best friend. When Kyle died, Nell was so devastated that no one could reach her, not even her best friend Becca. As she tries to help Nell through her grief, Becca’s own life is thrust into turmoil, and everything she knows is changed.
Jason Dorsey asked Nell out the week after her sixteenth birthday, but that date never happened. Instead, he ended up going out with Nell’s best friend, Becca. He had no way of knowing, then, how that one date would send him on a life-long journey with Becca. He had no way of knowing the tragedies and triumphs he would experience, or that in Becca, he might find the love of a lifetime.

Message from Jasinda Wilder:
“I just want to thank all of my readers for making Falling Into You a bestseller! I was floored to learn that it made both the NY Times and USA Today lists this week! Just AMAZING. I can’t even express the feeling. I’ve been overwhelmed with emails and messages asking if I could continue the story. I honestly had a really difficult time trying to figure out if I could. I have plotted out what I’m calling a parallel book.
It’s isn’t really a sequel and it isn’t a POV change. It’s more of a expansion. When Kyle dies it didn’t just change Kyle’s life but everyone’s. I think that this book will give you more Nell and Colton but also examine some other characters that also have a story to tell.
I hope you’re as excited as I am for Falling Into Us"
