Review:
3 Stars

Emma is a gal that feels on top of the world…..very confident, very happy and living the life. She lives with her 3 best friends, which happen to all be males. She is single, but has everything she wants….as long as she is in NYC.  She has known Shane and Tyler since they were kids growing up in a small town, but met Rob while in college. They have an amazing relationship and are always there for each other.

“There was just something indescribable about the way I felt walking the streets with ‘my boys’. Perhaps it was comfort, safety, maybe even love. They were the most important parts of my life, and I don’t know what I would do without them.” ~Emma

This is a dual POV between Shane and Emma. We start out meeting the crew through Emma, and their wild life. They go out to bars, drink themselves silly and take bets. Emma is one to never back down on a bet and Rob is always dishing them out to her. She doesn’t like to lose….and that’s where her confidence gets in the way of her smarts sometimes. They definitely have some stories to tell about their shenanigans!!

She doesn’t have a very good relationship with her mom or her sister, because they expect her to get married, settle down and have kids. Every visit home leads to drama and resentment and she is always tired of hearing what they have to say. She likes her life with her career with her guys. That just isn’t what she wants….or so she thought.
One weekend, she goes home to her parents’ house for their anniversary and hears the news that her sister is expecting. She has to deal with the emotions of the ‘life’ she lives and the fact that maybe she doesn’t have all that she truly wants. She starts to question herself and what path her life is taking her down.

We follow Emma home and there she makes a few hasty decisions…..and, of course, she pulls the guys along for their support…whether they want to or not. She has the most amazing friends in these guys. They are always there to pick her up and support her in anything she does. True friends….always there for her.

The journey that Emma takes leads her down a few roads of discovery to find out along the way what is going on with HER and what she truly wants. Without giving away most of the plot, I will say that in her determined mindset to get what she feels she truly wants, she pushes away what is most important to her. She learns who she is, and what she truly wants.

I connected most with Shane. I felt his emotions; I felt his heartache and his pain. Rob is a smart ass and a blabbermouth when drunk. Tyler is a man with his head on his shoulders….and a good friend to Emma.

Once Emma goes through and finds out what she truly wants, her world is thrown a curve ball….something she was fairly sure she wouldn’t get. Her life and the guys’ life takes a turn….but it looks like things are gonna work out for her. Sometimes, the very thing we are searching for is right there....if we stop looking long enough, we can realize it was there all along.
