Blog Tour: Relinquished by KA Hunter

Title: Relinquished
Author: KA Hunter
~ SYNOPSIS ~
Jules Donovan has been in and out of unsavory foster homes and repulsive motels her entire life. She’s known nothing but loss, abandonment, crime, and pain. Now that she's aged out of the system, she can’t remember ever having dreams for her future because she’s constantly fighting for daily survival.

When she meets the Riley brothers, there’s something about them that draws her in. She’s never let her guard down, but Dante and Holden make her feel valuable, like she actually matters. And for the first time in her life, she senses something she’s never experienced before—protection.

But can these mysterious brothers keep her safe from the dark monsters that lie in wait, ready for their final revenge? And how in the hell does older brother Dante know so much about her anyway?

Unbeknownst to her, things have been set in motion ever since she was ripped from her mother’s womb and, as each jagged piece of her life unfolds, she will begin to wonder, who’s really in charge of her fate?

**TRIGGER WARNING...this novel contains non-explicit scenes of abuse. There is strong language throughout. Relinquished is intended for mature readers**

★ 4 Stars
This book was my first by KA Hunter....and I really enjoyed the journey I took in this book. It was very fast paced and it was one that captured me and had me turning the pages to find out what was going on. I *needed* to know!!! Based on what I had read on the review request, I thought I was in for an interesting story, but I *never* thought I'd get the story I got!! And what a great surprise it was!!

~"Love isn't something to regret, Jules. Anything in life can destroy you, but I'd rather be so deeply affected by someone that I'm willing to fight against all odds for her than never experience it."~

Holden was delicious and, honestly, Dante was too!! The dynamic between all the characters was really well played and there was such a cohesiveness between them, even though some scenes got really gritty and intense. I liked the protectiveness Holden had for Jules. I will admit, I figured out a BIG secret very quickly.....but finding out the truth about it was worth the wait while it was slowly revealed.

This story was full of drama, intense feelings and convoluted twisted webs of lies and deceit. Things that were seemingly right, were just NOT, and to question something you knew your entire life....that just made you catch your breath! So intriguing!!

~This woman held my heart, and I wanted to do everything in my power to keep those tears from her eyes. But today has been a long time coming.~

I was really excited to find out what was going on between all three of these characters and the drawn out way that it was told was gripping. I read late into the night and had to know how it all came together. My ONLY gripe was the way it played out in the very end (quick descriptions and some of it didn't sit right, and was not as realistic as the rest of the story was)....other than that, highly recommended and definitely one for the action/suspense genre. So good!!
