I'm going to be really honest, when I first agreed to review "Unexpected Moments", I wasn't aware of just how short it was. Not my usual kind of book, but I like to keep an open mind and give different things a chance. So yes, I guess I can say I enjoyed this story but I really wish it had been longer. *sigh* I don't know. I suppose I'm having mixed feelings here. Maybe too short stories aren't my thing after all? So please, don't let this stop you from giving it a try because if you have 20 minutes to spare and want a quick read, then this is the type of 'book' you could use.
Anyway...
The female lead character, Michelle is a quiet girl, yet decides to go out of her comfort zone and attend a charity event with her best friend. There she meets a man (whose name was never mentioned here) and discovers that they literally have a spark between them.
"I saw you from across the room and realized that I had to ask the most beautiful woman here to dance, would you do me the honors?"
Quickly after meeting, they share a dance and some small talk which leads to them leaving the event together. One steamy scene later... 'The End'.
"We are in that moment everything to each other and the world stands still for us..."
So again, if you're looking for a quick read, then this would be your type of book.
