Review:
4.5 Stars
"...my intense connection with River is undeniable."
If I was head-over-heals in love with River Wilde in book one, Connected, there are no words to describe what I feel for him now, after finishing Torn. Whoa. Could he get any better?? Seriously! *happy sigh*
"A long time ago, I wished for you and now I have you."
Dahlia's world was once again turned upside down, causing her relationship with River to be full of ups and downs. But as River tells Dahlia, "...a beautiful thing is never perfect". Truer words could not have been spoken, because if there's one way to describe River and Dahlia's relationship, it's beautiful. Yes, it was FAR from perfect, but it was truly beautiful. Their passion, their chemistry, their love was just... one for the books, so to speak. And holy smokes!!!! There were some fire-burning-hot scenes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PHEW! Oh, my!!! Seriously, River Wilde is one swoon-worthy guy in every.single.way.
“It seems like all I was really doing was waiting for you my whole life anyway, and I don’t want to wait anymore.”
Okay, Torn, is a continuation of book one, so if I discuss in detail the plot, it will ruin it for those that have yet to read it Connected. I gotta say, even though I really enjoyed book one, I feel that I liked this one more. There are way more twists in this story line - which kept me on my toes guessing, there's more drama, and there are definitely more angst-filled scenes!
Page turner alert!!
The ending to me was beautiful...perfect for River and Dahlia. I finished reading swooning and grinning like an idiot.
I recommend you go buy this book!
" I know what we have will never be torn apart."
*Yes, there's a third book in the Connection Series, but it's Xander's book (River's brother). So, if you're anything like me and prefer to read books in series once the "last book" comes out, feel free to read Connected and Torn. Even though I'm sure we'll see River and Dahlia in future books, their story wraps up.*

About the Author:
Kim Karr
I live in Florida with my husband and four kids. I’ve always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, I wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. I went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise my family. I currently work part-time with my husband and full-time embracing one of my biggest passions—writing.
I wear a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all around go-to person of the family. However, I always find time to read. One of my favorite family outings use to be taking my kids to the bookstore or the library. Today, my oldest child is in college and my twins are juniors so they no longer go with me on these outings. And although I don’t need to go to the actual store anymore because I have the greatest device ever invented—a Kindle, I still do. There’s nothing like a paperback. So now my four year old and I make dates out of going to the bookstore–it’s time I love and cherish.
I like to believe in soulmates, kindred spirits, true friends, and Happily-Ever-Afters. I love to drink champagne, listen to music, and hopes to always stay young at heart. <3
