Review:
4.5 Stars

"I surrender myself to you."

Ava thought she had her happily ever after with her boyfriend Harper. She even moved to Singapore for him....and then, he dumped her. Emotionally broken, she returns home to L.A where she moves in with her best friend Veronica "V".

In a journey to find herself and heal her heart, what Ava least expected was to meet Jasper White. *sigh* Oh Jasper.... Total hottie!!!!  And what's even better is that he was more than just "VERY good looks"!!!! So-much-more!!! Of course just like Ava, he had his own baggage which caused plenty of page-turning drama.... ahem.. Indie. But I swear, Jasper is truly swoon worthy!!!! I was completely smitten with him!!!

"Ava I know you don't know me, but when I want something, I get it."

"But with you, you see me, you really see me and that to me is more attractive than you will ever know."

“Ava this changes everything. What we shared wasn’t just sex, it was epic. You make me feel like a better man. I want to better myself so I am good enough for you.”

A lot of drama (which I won't discuss) causes Jasper and Ava to go back and forth. Sometimes I really wanted to smack some sense into them, while other times, I completely understood their hesitations. So it's safe to say, Jasper and Ava's journey is anything but a smooth one.

"The thought of never being able to see you smile, hear you laugh, smell you, touch you... I'm dying inside."

"I'll always be here waiting for you, I promise."

The secondary characters, V and her boyfriend Lucas (Jasper's best friend) were really cool, interesting, and funny. I would not mind reading a book about them, though I'm sure we'll see a lot more of them throughout the next two books in this trilogy.

I can honestly say that "I Surrender" was a great debut novel that kept me very much intrigued in the story line. I found it very hard to put this book down. I laughed, swooned, and cursed. Oh, and I loved the angsty scenesAs for the ending, be warned..... cliffhanger alert!!! But thankfully, we won't have to wait long since the sequel will be out sometime this November!

I recommend this book!!!!

"I'll never leave you. I am yours forever. Losing you is not an option."
