“If you think your money impresses me, what
can I say, I’m not a diamond or top shelf kind of girl.”
Yep. That would be strong and
stubborn yet, caring, Lola Nash -- never afraid to speak her mind. But don’t
let appearances fool you, there’s a lot
more to her than meets the eye… which is why she’s perfect for our Hamden
hottie, Wes Thompson.
“When I’m awake, when I’m asleep, all I see is
her.”
The third book in the Hamden Series, Three of Diamonds, takes
in ways, a darker and sexier tone than the other two books. I knew Wes’ story
was going to be a good one, but hell, it
was great! I was intrigued from the very beginning and looking forward to
finding out everything about him and
Lola. The secrets Lola had were simply put, heartbreaking. I felt so much sympathy for her. Like I said, she’s one strong woman and the last
thing Lola ever expected, was to have
her life changed forever by hot and sexy alpha male, Wes.
“Yes, he may be all business by day, however
at night he was anything but. A private sex God who she was sure could make any
woman feel things they’ve only read and dreamed about.”
“I want to taste you on my fingers.”
HOT HOT HOT! And did I mention,
HOT? Because yeah, this is one HOT book. The chemistry between
Lola and Wes sizzled from my Kindle. Very well written steamy scenes, in my
opinion.
Just like with the other books,
I also loved the fact that the problems in Three
of Diamonds, were very much realistic and relatable. The things that went
on here, could happen to just about anyone. In fact, this was the first books I’ve read that actually touches the
subject of kids with special needs. Lola has a younger brother with Down
syndrome and W. Ferraro, nailed it! She got everything about it perfectly…from
the temper tantrums to the over excitements. Oh, and seeing how Wes was with
Boyd, melted my heart. Talk
about a swoon worthy man…. *sigh*
In this book we also got to see
the other amazing characters and how their stories have unfolded. Loved how
they all treated each other as one huge, crazy family. I’m hoping we get more
books in this series… like CeCe’s story or even Aimee’s. I’m just not ready to
say goodbye to these characters yet.
As usual, I loved the
ending!!!!! The author knows how to give everyone their true HEA. I finished
reading with a huge smile across my face.
“I love you, Lola, you will always be the best
part of me.”
