Wow. Wow! WOW!

I knew that after reading Arsen, Easy Virtue was going to make me speechless.

Life is a show where my soul is naked, but I'm covered in lies.

Mia's words are so rich, so full and I will, once again, have a hard time explaining another one of her books. Her words bleed off the page. You absorb them....you can't just read them, you feel them. I highlighted so much in this book, I have no idea where to start....it was an amazing read. I love her intensity in her books....and the feelings you feel are 'real'.

She makes you love EACH character individually, as their own person. Brilliant. She has this uncanny ability (not seen often enough, that's for sure!) to build up a character and make sure you are able to understand their in's and out's and why they do what they do, act the way they act.

The way she sets up Blaire's character....precision. She did an excellent job making you love her, feel sorry for her and get attached to her, with ease. But....that's not to say that you will like her though. It's like this: we are conditioned to hate the "Blaire's" of the world....but what WE don't get to see is their side....the way they think/feel. We are truly only privy to their outward appearances and acts so we only get half of their story. What Mia does is ensure that you get to see it ALL....feel it all, watch it all, live it all. Blaire is a fighter. A survivor. A cold, merciless Bitch; but really, on the outside only.

Blaire lives behind the facade of confidence. She is protecting herself with this outward appearance, along with the assumption of heartless inner thoughts....yet, she truly has a heart that even *she* doesn't want to trust.

I longed for a tender embrace in my darkest hours... But I had nothing. I was nothing. I'm still nothing. And I don't care anymore.

We have this girl that is so tormented by her inner thoughts that social situations are hard on her....especially when acting nonchalant is her modus operandi

Many say that love will set you free, but I disagree...love is a cage, a very painful one; it's gilded bars made with yearning , heartache, and unfulfilled dreams.

Blaire has this deep need for her to feel needed and desired, and that is controlling her emotions and actions. She needs to feel attention on her, she craves affection. Her childhood fucked her.

This book....this story tells you so much. It makes you buck the normal stereotypes and forces you to feel the pain through the other person...in this case, Blaire's side. This story was heart-breaking and the end sleighed me. I need more. I want more. Once again, Mia....I am a slave to your words. Please....give.me.more.

Pure Love (Ronan) vs Raw Lust/Need (Lawrence)
I loved these men, equally. They both brought something out in Blaire and they were very necessary in her life's path.
So sexy.
So sensual.
So alluring.

His kiss is like dark chocolate, bitter and laced with sweetness-an aphrodisiac. It's darkness and light all at once. His kiss doesn't ask. It takes. It demands total surrender, and I give it to him. I give him everything, whatever he wants. And I'm lost to it all.
