Book Review: Fall To You by Lexi Ryan

FALL TO YOU
Author: Lexi Ryan
Series: Here and Now, Book 2
~ SYNOPSIS ~

The highly-anticipated sequel to Lost in Me .

Torn between two men…
When I woke up after the accident, I couldn't remember anything from the last year—including my relationship with Max Hallowell or anything about Nate Crane. Now my memories are returning, but instead of answering my questions, they’re leaving me with more.

The man who broke my heart and wants to be my future…
Max is all I ever wanted, and now he wants to marry me. He’ll do everything he can to fill my life with love, family, and security. I need those things now more than ever. But can I trust him?

The man who stole my heart and wants to let me go…
Nate never made me promises, and I never asked him to. I’d been on the rebound, looking for a distraction, and he made me feel beautiful and wanted when I needed to feel those things most. He says he has to let me go, but what if I can’t let go of him?

With every revelation and every passing day, I feel more like Alice down the rabbit hole. I’m falling. Who will catch me?

Fall to You is the second book in the Here and Now series. It is not a stand-alone and is intended to be read following Lost in Me. Hanna’s story concludes in book three, All for This.

~ REVIEW ~
5 Stars

Soooo…..the *slight* cliffy in book one, Lost In Me , had me going insane!! So imagine my excitement when I got to read this book!!! But THIS book was SUCH a freaking treat!!!! OMG. I was #TeamNate before I even read this book….but holy schnikees, this solidified it for me!!! Ok. <breathe> and pull myself together because, once again, Lexi has dragged me into this world of love, lust and turmoil.

I love triangles in books. Absolutely LOVE them….they add a sense of angst that you don’t always get in other books. One of the nice things about Lexi’s books is that she has very strong females, but with normal insecurities, and not the kind you want to shake and throw your kindle at the wall. I have to honestly pull myself together because this book left me humming and ready for All For This. *I NEED THAT BOOK*

***THIS IS NOT A STANDALONE AND SHOULD BE READ AFTER LOST IN ME***

So after finding out what is going on with Hanna…..finding out how is the focus of this story, but we also get to explore the beginning of Nate (giggle) and Hanna’s relationship. From the get go, Nate brought out a side of Hanna that was seriously hard for her to ignore.

“You’re killing me, Hanna. You’re this angel who could tempt a saint, and I’m no saint.” ~Nate

He made her feel things she never knew she could feel. He made her feel beautiful. He made her feel sexy. He made her feel wanted. I loved the way he turned her out!!! She was this sexy and confident woman when she was with him and she was sooo into him. And from everything I was seeing…..he had a deep attraction that he didn't even know how to deal with himself.

But with these feelings of intense love/lust/emotion, comes serious questions about her devotion and love for Max. I will admit here: Max really pulled on my heartstrings. We learned more about him and how he truly felt about Hanna, but also the heartbreaking truth that led them to where they are in this stage in their relationship.

When Hanna’s door closes behind me, I feel like I've been gutted, and I’m leaving here without my heart. I have to stop on the steps. I close my eyes and try to remember how to breathe, how to take a step and live without the only thing that matters. ~Max

This gets very sticky during this book…..and I loved it!!! We get to toggle between the past and the present, and it’s mapped out by weeks before her accident, to weeks after. We are taken on such a journey through her trying to find out who she is, what happened leading up to her accident, how it happened and what her heart is really telling her. I will tell you this….I was all #TeamNate during book one….there was something that rubbed me weird about how her relationship with Max was playing out in the first book, Lost In Me, but after reading this book, Max really snuck into my heart. Excellent writing right there…I actually questioned my #TeamNate stance for about two breaths. Maybe. Ok, I didn’t reeeeally…..but Max proved himself in my eyes, and ANY woman would be lucky to have him. ANY woman.

This book really worked my heart over….honestly and truly. It was a heartbreaking, love finding, fact-mission-attempting amazing book. I learned more about Max and gained a soft spot for him and fell even more in love with Nate. We have a man that loves her unconditionally, regardless of what she “thinks”, and would do anything for her, and a man that loves her so deeply and intensely that he would do anything for her, including making changes he doesn't want to make…no matter if it ends up hurting in the end. They both have this heart of gold that stretches beyond any measure, and they are both willing to let her go to be happy with the other, but then again….maybe fighting for her is the only option. #TrueMen

My heart couldn’t take the back and forth and the pull between both men was SO intense-so real, I felt all that pain and anxiety and confusion that Hanna did. I couldn't put the book down and craved more. A lot more. I honestly can’t wait to read book 3. It can’t come soon enough. I’ll leave you with this from my *highly recommended 5 star review*, and hope that it piques your curiosity because this series is worth the read:

“I love you too much to give up, but I don’t trust you enough to take you back.” ~Hanna
