So, I have historically loved SE Hall's books, and the synopsis for this one fascinated me....so reading it was going to be a no brainer for me. However.....when I first started the book, I was a little skeptical. I'll be honest....I was confused at how the selection process worked, I wasn't too sure about the 'reality show' aspect of it because I hate those for the made-up drama alone, and there was a ton of people to actually keep track of. Sixteen characters squished into one book to figure out and get to know? Holy cow....spinning head.

~Truly, an enjoyable read!!!~
This book surprised me. I did NOT want to put this book down at all....it was an easy read after I got into and settled in for the 'show'. While the reality show side of it was just that, reality show and crazy antics (think Bachelor and Survivor mixed together), there was a lot more depth to this book than the actual 'show'.
First we had an amazing mix of characters. I had one guy picked out from the get-go, and even liked a few of the girls....but you eventually separated the drama queens from the posers from the true honest ones. The more we got to know the characters, the more their true traits stood out and I am proud to say that the first guy I picked out was totally my hero. I loved him. He is what honest, true gentlemen are made of. Oh....did I mention he was all alpha? It's no secret that I love a good alpha. I love the way they are protective, dominant and honestly care about their woman. Especially when he can make your knees wobble to and fro with the least amount of words possible. He definitely was all man. *bites finger*
~"Harlow. Eyes on me," he says strongly.~
~His eyes always gave him away, speaking louder than his lips ever could.~
This book had drama (how could it not), it had some moments when I was outright giggling and some moments where I was glued to my Kindle awaiting the answers and the outcomes of every challenge presented and every elimination 'unlocked'. This was definitely a peculiar way to do things and I've never read a book like this, so it was different and very enjoyable.
The whole premise behind this book just worked. It truly did! As I moved farther along in the book, the way secrets were revealed and 'matches' were found was really intriguing. Obviously some of the reality games made me roll my eyes, because they always do....but it's a ratings boost, right? The disdain for the host of the show certainly was not misunderstood. He was a slimy one....but, perfectly suited for this game show.
When feelings got involved, it got entertaining, but when life stepped in the way, it got emotional. When I said that this one had depth, I wasn't exaggerating. While I may have figured out one of the big spoilers, I was anxious to see how it all played out. I was lucky enough to message my friend as I was reading it since she had already finished it, and I must say that to follow the journey as it unfolded was well worth it....figured out or not. And some of the shocking revelations that came to light....wow! Really interesting. I really enjoyed this book. A lot.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that wants a very fun and deep read in a standalone book.

Angela knew she found her calling in the world of fiction the moment she began pounding away at the keys for her first short story in 2012. With a baby on her shoulder, she wrote for about a year before deciding to try her hand at an actual novel. It was the best decision she ever made and since then she continues to bring characters to life in her free time snuck away from her first role as mother to her three young children.
