I think it needs to be said that the amount of potential spinoffs alone from reading this ONE book has me giddy!! Like, Harper is already a one-click, no questions asked author for me. But this newest series just made me so excited....I can't even begin to explain it!!!
This book was THE perfect spinoff.....perfect. We got to catch up with the CS family and see how they have all grown up and how their families have continued to be there for each other. But, it should be noted that Axel has not changed.
Not. One. Bit.
And it soooo worked in this book! I love Axel and all his overprotectiveness, but he took the cake in this book. Hands down, nuts.
But, let us move along to the important things. Cohen Cage.

Think of the sexiest qualities in a man, aside from alpha....we all love that, right? Right.
Multiply that a few hundred times: Cohen.
He made this book emotionally so amazing.
And when they finally come together (no pun intended....maybe), it is explosive.

Dani is a very strong woman. I loved seeing her younger, and as she grew up into this beautiful woman, but seeing her with HIM, that was fascinating. From little kids to grown adults, their feelings grew into a one of a kind love. They were meant for each other, and this story was beautiful in that regards. I really liked how her confidence was there, but she still had the normal "what if's" running through her mind....she was real. And Harper really nailed this one. I was laughing and swooning through the ENTIRE book. These two had some very funny and angsty moments, and some downright hot and sensual moments.
~Drives me insane, the control he has over me. There isn't a single person in the world, other than Cohen, who can turn me into a ridiculously stupid, sputtering fool. My normal confidence disappears. And clearly, he isn't as oblivious to my feelings as I originally thought.~
There is something to be said about fate....and when we truly understand and believe in it, the possibilities in our own lives expand exponentially. What Dani and Cohen had was fated from the beginning. It really was....and the title of this book was so perfect!!! I really love when a title has more meaning, deeper meaning.....and finding out what it means while reading the book? So wonderful....it's like you smile and *exhale*.
Now, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Harper before I ever read anything of hers, and she is one of the most down to earth, sweetest girls I have ever met. EVER!! I had already purchased her first two books in her CS series, and jumped on tour for Beck, and it was all over after that. With this spinoff coming out, I just knew that I had to read this book. She didn't let me down, at all. It was a seamless transition from the 4 year old, cape wearing sidekick to the grown up, alpha dominating beast we meet in this book. I will say this much: ONLY Harper can write the kind of drama into a book that she does and make it work. Really....I am always reading it and loving it, never questioning it...on the edge of my seat, watching it play out. Her ability to tell a love story the way she does is what pushes her stories beyond amazing....they work and they are so deep and consuming.
