It is not an
everyday-thing when your favorite author writes a book in your top favorite
genre. But let me tell you – when it does
happen, it is EPIC. *throws confetti* When I first found out that CA Harms
was writing a Romantic Suspense novel, I was over the moon with excitement, and
when I actually got the chance to read it, I was beyond elated!
CA Harms NAILED IT.

Talk about becoming a page-turning fool!
Josh was a GORGEOUS
and incredibly swoon-worthy FBI Undercover Agent. Before he met Gaby, he had
taken on the mother of all cases. The make-or-break case of his career, and it
sure made things extremely complicated and angst-driven. In fact, there was one
scene in particular that had my stomach in knots!
“I just want to hold you. You’re my peace, Gabby, my
calm.”
I loved how much
Josh loved Gaby (who was adorable, btw!). I don't often love female characters,
but Gaby quickly became one of my favorites. Her and Josh were perfect for each
other. They truly clicked and completed each other. There was no doubt in my
mind that he would do ANYTHING to protect Gaby. And I mean anything. Their
connection was intense and their chemistry sizzled off the pages.
“I’m not sure when you’ll see me, but just know I’
thinking of you. I’m always thinking of you.”
CA Harms is an
incredibly talented author and her writing only gets better and BETTER with
each book!!! Her debut novel was fantastic, mind you, so that should only give
you a glimpse of what to expect when buying her books. This was her very first
Romantic Suspense and it was a home run. I could not stop turning the pages
from the moment I started reading it. The amount of detail she provided within
each scene was PERFECT. I had no problem, whatsoever, visualizing what was
happening throughout the book.
The mystery, the
action, all the twists and turns, EVERYTHING had me wanting to find out answers
NOW. So I kept on reading...I kept on devouring this amazing book. I felt like
I was constantly on the edge of my seat, trying to come up with possible
outcomes in my head! Sure enough, CA Harms managed to surprise me time and time
again with how she developed the plot. I won't go into ANY of the details
because honestly, you HAVE to experience this novel first-hand. All I am going
to say is that you are in for one heck of a ride.....
THAT
ENDING.......... OH...MY...GOD!
This book is a
must. FIVE STARS!!! Another TOP FAVE of 2015 for me!
- EXCERPT -
I smiled as a younger guy three feet away ducked his head in embarrassment.
“Now these would look fucking amazing on you. Damn, baby.” Josh’s eyes gleamed in excitement as he looked up at me. “I may go broke if you keep bringing me to places like these.”
I giggled as I grabbed the pink, lacy, and completely see-through nightie he held in his other hand.
“We’ll take one of these in every color you have,” he hollered to the clerk.
I hid my head against his chest and tickled his sides.
“What?” he grunted and tried to pull back from my assault. “You can’t blame me for trying, sweetheart.
Forget about getting dressed daily. I think you should live in these nighties.”
I tilted my head and looked up at him. “You are insatiable.” I rose up on my tiptoes, bringing my lips close to his. “And extremely adorable.”
He closed the distance and kissed me, wrapping his arm around my waist securely. His tongue rolled with mine, and for a moment I forgot we were standing in the center of a department store. Someone cleared their throat, and I broke the kiss to look over my shoulder. An older salesperson was giving us a disapproving glare.
“Sorry,” I offered. When I turned back to face Josh, he was grinning from ear to ear.
“So—” He waggled his eyebrows suggestively. “—we are getting some of these. Right?”
I lifted up the light pink nightie and shook it in front of his face. “We’ll get this one and the red one,” I assured him as I walked toward the sales clerk at the checkout counter. When I looked back over my shoulder, Josh was smiling brightly and following close behind.
“Now that’s my girl. Looks like tonight we’re
staying in.”
I rolled my eyes and turned forward again as he chuckled.

C.A. Harms is like any other addicted reader. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories. She hasn't always been a lover of Romance and had once been addicted to a good Mystery. Just recently she has taken on a new liking and now is a full blown Romance novel addict.
