Book Tour: Clash by Sawyer Bennett

Title: Clash
Series: Legal Affairs (Spin off, Cal and Macy's story)
Author: Sawyer Bennett
~ SYNOPSIS ~
Clash (verb): to conflict, disagree.

It might be fair to say that I despise Macy Carrington. She slings insults with precision, not caring about the destruction she leaves in her wake. We clash in a battle of wills every time we’re around each other, and yet… I still fantasize about being lodged deep within her body.

Clash (verb): to come together or collide.

I have never encountered someone that grates me the way Cal Carson does. His pompous, arrogant demeanor. A holier-than-thou attitude. Any interaction with “Saint Cal” ends in a verbal clash of epic proportions, and yet… there’s no one I’d rather have in my bed than him.

Clash (noun): a battle, fight or skirmish.

Her breathy moans mingle with the sound of our flesh coming together, clashing with the silence that surrounds us, dispelling any notions I once had about Macy Carrington.

Maybe I can break down her walls if we can call a truce to this battle.

He whispers filthy words in my ear, provoking feelings I never knew were possible. The burning desire in his touch clashes with everything I once believed about Cal Carson.

Maybe he can be the balm I need to soothe my broken soul, if only temporarily.

5 undeniably HOT stars

What the....What!!! What did I just read?? Ok....disclaimer, or whatever you want to call it:
I
LOVE
SAWYER
BENNETT
Having said that....what the heck!!! Ok, I loved the original Legal Affairs series, Mac and Matt's story. Absolutely, hands down loved it. It was on my Favorites List for 2014

We met Macy because she was Mac's best friend....and she was a strong woman that doesn't take anyone's shit. We met Cal because he was originally interested in Mac, but eventually became her law partner and best friend.

I love the relationship Mac has with BOTH of them, but let's just say that Cal and Macy do NOT have a cohesive relationship with each other. They bicker and insult each other every time they're around each other.

~Fuck, she's stunning. A pain in the ass, but undeniably stunning.~

I loved how much Cal fought his attraction to Macy...and he fought HARD. Really hard....to the point of it being comedic. It wasn't....it very definitely was a more serious book than Mac an Matt's story, but I'll give him points for trying. However, who knew that something *SO* volatile and so angry could turn into some thing so.....intriguing and, dare I say, sexy?? I *LOVED* their relationship, or whatever you want to call it at this point.

~A woman who is overtly sexual with a dark past? It's too delicious not to be taken in by it.~

But, we all know it's gonna happen, right??? Well, let's just say
THAT
WAS
HOT
And by hot, I mean, put-the-book-down-and-find-your-man-hot. Ok? SB can genuinely and honestly write a hot scene and can completely envelop you so you feel everything going on. The urgency, the emotion, the sensuality....it was ALL there. It was so hot!!

I loved that no matter what Cal did, he couldn't get away from Macy....and Macy sure didn't make it easy on him either.

~Macy is just code word for trouble.~

He did everything he could to deny his attraction, his need, his want, even after they had their 'moment', but when it came down to it, Cal had a legal/business decision to make and it wasn't one to take lightly. It showed me his true, honest character and that really made me swoon. I knew he wasn't all sexy and smart mouth....there was respect behind him as well. He's a good man.

This was a novella....the starting book to the newest storyline in the Legal Affairs series. The next two, Grind (April 21st) and Yield (May 5th) are both FULL length novels. Seriously, this novella was one hot book. I am excited for Grind!!!
