Short but
definitely worth the read! I truly believe that great authors can make readers
feel like they’re lost (in the best kind of way!) in this whole other world while
reading, but only truly talented authors can accomplish that in a short amount
of time/pages…and Brandy L. Rivers nailed it!
In this
novelette we got introduced to Amethyst’s story and the quite sticky situation this
beautiful nymph found herself in. You see, her ex-boyfriend was obsessed with her
and did not understand the fact that they were over. There was only one way to
make him leave her alone. Whether or not Amethyst was willing to do it, however, was the important thing.
Carl went on complicating things for her and ultimately, she had no choice but
to go through with the plan. It was the only way to get him to leave her alone.
Shadows
Fall was a great addition to this already amazing series. It was written very
well and kept my interest fully intact from beginning to end. I do recommend
you read this prequel to Shadows of the Past (book 2) since it was here that
Ame’s reasons for moving to Edenton got explained. Plus…why not read it? It was totally amazing and
worth it! FIVE STARS!
