First of all, THANK YOU so much for stopping by my blog. Your support means the world to me so, thank you. 

Hello, hello!! My name is Lydia, but everyone calls me Ly (Lee) or Hea. I’m in my twenties and happily in love with my soul mate – let’s call him J. I’m a new mom to two amazing boys and I absolutely love our imperfectly perfect life. I have an obsession with nail polish, especially the brand Sinful Colors. That’s probably the only girly quality I have. I buy nail polish like I buy books……..A LOT. Oh, and my favorite color is pink. So there – two girly qualities. Who knew?

I love sports! Watching and playing them, though I’m not really any good. I’m also a Netflix Junkie. There have been Sundays where J and I have spent the whole day watching Netflix. It’s wonderful, really, but then I have that awkward moment where I think: “Did I really have nothing to do today or am I forgetting something?” Oh, well. Some days, you deserve to be lazy and cuddle with the one you love.

My favorite candy is Hershey’s Cookies N Cream bar or chocolate Kisses. Well, if I’m being totally honest, anything chocolate will do, but yeah, those two are my top, top faves. I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Popcorn. I could eat a whole bag by myself while watching a movie or T.V. show – easily. See, I love to eat, but I also enjoy going out for a run/jog/walk and then slowly dying on my way back home. Yep. I start off super energized and then I remember why it’s much more fun NOT working out. Ha.

Call me Ms. Forgets A lot. I HAVE to write everything down. If I didn’t, you can bet I’d forget. I love note pads, sticky notes, markers, highlighters – the works. I even make to-do lists and color coordinate everything. Where this is concerned, I’m über organized.

I am also a dog freak. Really. I ADORE dogs. I would happily live in a house full of dogs any given day. You know the whole “crazy cat lady” thing? Yeah….I’d be the “crazy dog lady” for sure!

Well aaaaaaaanyway, let’s talk about books.

When I was a little girl, I always loved reading and going to the bookstore at the mall. Unfortunately, puberty hit me and I thought it was way cooler to go out with friends than stay home reading. Fast forward ten years later and now, I’m severely addicted to Romance novels. Yes, I am one of those girls that got back into reading thanks to Fifty Shades of Grey. I was a goner right from page one. Heck, I’ve read the entire Trilogy four times and I still get angry, laugh, and cry as if it was the very first time. After finishing Fifty Shades, I craved more. Then, I got introduced to Gideon Cross, Gabriel Emerson, Jesse a.k.a The Lord of The Manor, and many more of these hot, alpha male characters and BOY, I WAS HOOKED.

I LOVE books with angst, passion, drama, alpha males, and strong female leads. I love it when books make me feel emotionally invested in them to the point where I simply cannot stop reading. LOVE IT. I can read anything from Erotic novels to sweet romances. Anything in the Contemporary, New Adult, Erotic, and sometimes, Young Adult genres will do.  As long as the story line is well written and developed, I’m all in.  But you see, I also have a few rules as far as my reading goes. One VERY important rule being that the book MUST have a happy ending. MUST. I can handle cliffhangers if books are parts of series, but that last and final book in the series/trilogy MUST end in a HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

And this is where it all comes together. A few months after my one-clicking addiction with Amazon began, I decided to create a book blog where readers with similar tastes to mine could discover these Indie Authors that I had come to love and admire….and probably stalk via Facebook & Twitter. And so, it all began.

HEA Bookshelf was born.

Never in my wildest dreams did I expect such an amazing support and following. I was blown away.......still am, actually. 

Through the blog, I started meeting these amazing readers that shared my same obsession with the same books!! Talk about being in book heaven! But one day, I came across this crazy lady.......Bethany or B as I call her. We simply clicked. We started chatting and we discovered that we shared A LOT of the same tastes in books – not only where the HEA's were concerned, but also character qualities and general storylines. Like I said, we clicked. Bethany ended up blogging with me for what I believe would be 2 years, but she now has her own blog: The Book Bee. Go check it out! She's still as amazing as ever, and while she's now a "book bee," she will always be a #HEAGirl. 

All in all, I have fun doing what I LOVE – reading, reviewing, and promoting authors I believe in. Look forward to meeting you all!!
